Preethi ("we", "our", "us") is an AI companion app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account, you confirm you are 18+ and accept this Privacy Policy. We record the date you accepted it.

Preethi is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Account information: email address and password when you sign up (stored securely via Supabase).

Profile information: your name, pronouns, language preference, interests, and favourites you provide during onboarding or in settings.

Profile photo: an optional selfie you may add when creating your account or later in settings, stored on your device.

Chat content: messages you send, including text, photos, and voice recordings.

Memories: facts Preethi saves about you — automatically from chat or added by you manually.

App settings: companion name, vibe, traits, wallpaper, romance level, and notification preferences.

Device data: basic device and app usage needed to run the app (e.g. notification tokens if you enable reminders).

To provide the chat experience and personalize Preethi's replies.

To remember details about you across sessions (memories).

To process voice messages (speech-to-text) and photo messages (image understanding) through our AI services.

To send optional "miss-you" notifications if you turn them on.

To manage subscriptions and payments when Preethi Plus is enabled.

Your messages, photos, and voice recordings may be sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) through secure server-side processing to generate replies.

We do not sell your chat content to third parties.

Do not share sensitive personal information (passwords, bank details, government IDs) in chat.

Cloud: when you are signed in, account data and memories may sync to Supabase (secure cloud database).

On your device: chat history and some settings are stored locally on your phone using secure app storage.

AI API keys are kept on our servers — not embedded in the app.

We use trusted service providers to operate the app, including Supabase (auth & database), OpenAI (AI chat, voice transcription, photo understanding), and Razorpay (payments, when enabled).

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

We do not sell your personal data.

View and edit memories in Settings → Memory.

Delete chat data using "Delete All Data" in Settings.

Turn off notifications in Settings.

Log out at any time. Logging out clears locally cached memories on your device.

Delete your account: contact us (see below) to request full account deletion.

Chat history is kept on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

Cloud memories and profile data are kept while your account is active.

When you request account deletion, we will remove your cloud data within a reasonable period.

We use industry-standard practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication.

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Use Preethi at your own discretion.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.

Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Preethi is an AI companion for entertainment and conversation — not medical, legal, or financial advice.

You must be 18+ to use the app. Romance and adult content settings are optional and user-controlled.

Do not use Preethi for harassment, illegal activity, or sharing others' private information without consent.

Subscription passes are non-refundable except where required by law. Abuse may result in account suspension.
